Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic and mission-driven clinical team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, trauma-informed, person-centered psychiatric care to adults living with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), including individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders. In this role, you will provide high-quality, trauma-informed, person-centered psychiatric care to adults living with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), including individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders. Work Schedule45 days per week, with flexibility in schedulingPart-time or full-time opportunities available (salary posted is for full time hours)Competitive salary, commensurate with experience Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing medication managementPrescribe, administer, and monitor psychotropic medications, including long-acting injectables and controlled substancesProvide crisis intervention and clinical support as part of a multidisciplinary teamActively participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary case conferencesPerform health screenings and support the integration of physical and behavioral healthcareCollaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, peer specialists, care managers, and other clinical staffMaintain accurate, thorough, and timely clinical documentation in accordance with OMH regulations and standardsRequirementsCurrent NYS Nurse Practitioner license and certification, with a specialty in psychiatry (NPP preferred)Active DEA registration and authorization to prescribe controlled substances in New York StateExperience working with adults diagnosed with SPMI and/or co-occurring disordersAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-based care modelStrong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsClean, valid NYS drivers license and reliable transportationBilingual abilities are a plus!
