Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Gastroenterology (Ambulatory)

Hawthorne, NY Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and highly collaborative APP (Advanced Practice Provider), Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), to join our ambulatory gastroenterology service. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP who thrives in a collaborative but autonomous setting and is comfortable seeing patients in an independent capacity within a shared service model, with appropriate physician support and escalation pathways. In this role, the APP will work closely with experienced GI specialized physician and APP colleagues, providing comprehensive care across a broad spectrum of GI conditions and will play a key role in supporting continuity of care for patients seen in both general and subspecialty GI workflows.Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and follow patients in the ambulatory GI clinical setting Manage patients across General Gastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBS), Motility, and General Hepatology Support pre- and post-procedure management for patients undergoing advanced endoscopic interventions, including but not limited to: Pancreatic Cyst Drainage Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection POEM (Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy) Contribute to a flexible practice model that is designed to support future growth and evolving clinical needsQualifications:
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Current, unrestricted applicable New York State License Current Board Certification as a PA-C, FNP, AGNP, or equivalent. Ideal candidates will have prior GI experience, although highly motivated new graduates will be considered and are encouraged to apply. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, strong clinical judgment, and demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment as part of a multidisciplinary team.Other:
