ABOUT US
Founded in 1954, The Arc Rockland provides vital support and services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) enabling them to remain in their communities; enjoy camaraderie with peers and dedicated skilled staff members; and gain independence, all while offering peace of mind to their family and loved ones. We support over 600 individuals with nearly 40 locations throughout Rockland County.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will render primary care, medication management & coordination of care services. The NP works under a Collaborative Practice Agreement with the Medical Doctor.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education:
Certified and registered as a Nurse Practitioner by NYSED.
Minimum Experience:
2 years' experience in an outpatient setting with the population served.
Required Certification/Registration:
New York State Department of Education licensure and registration; NYS DEA registration for prescribing medication.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver quality health care through proper diagnosis and treatment of patients, utilizing evidence-based medicine and standards of care. Provide adequate and appropriate follow up, documentation and communication with patients, family members and support staff while complying with all State and Federal regulations. Assist with development of an organizational and administrative structure that assures adequacy and quality of care. Adhere to and enforce all, State and Federal guidelines related to patient care and corporate compliance.
