NP - Psychiatry Job in West Seneca, New York

We're looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join an outpatient team in West Seneca, NY, providing on-site psychiatric care and consultative services for individuals with developmental disabilities. This is a clinical, contract position starting ASAP with a minimum one-year term and the possibility to renew up to five years. Schedule and setting Outpatient clinic in West Seneca, NY 8-10 hours per week (can be completed in one full day or split across Wednesday and Friday) What you'll do Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments based on observation and patient interaction, documenting clear, concise findings. Provide ongoing psychiatric care, including prescribing psychotropic medications electronically as appropriate. Monitor medication effectiveness and side effects and make adjustments as needed. Offer crisis intervention and initiate pharmaceutical treatment when necessary. Participate in developing treatment plans and coordinating case management. Facilitate psychiatric inpatient admissions or review prospective transfers when required. Deliver in-service training to staff to support quality care and attend required trainings. Perform other related duties as assigned.
