Job Description

PRN Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider University Hospitals United States, Ohio, Cleveland Jun 11, 2026 We are seeking an experienced PRN Advanced Practice Provider to join the ICU Team at UH Elyria Medical Center. This position will provide PRN coverage for 12 hr. days, nights, weekends and holidays. Nurse practitioners must be ACNP and 1 year APP experience required. A Brief Overview The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws. What You Will Do Initiates and maintains positive relationships w/pts/customers
Initiates and maintains positive relationships w/co-workers
Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment
Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values
Performs patient assessment and assigns diagnosis based on recorded assessment data and current scientific and current research
Establishes plan of care and implements interventions in accordance with care paths, protocols, and standards of care and current research
Collaborates w/other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family
Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family and self
Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management
Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism
Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.

Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
