Job Duties:

Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, mental health assessments, and physical examinations for incarcerated female patients Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic psychiatric or medical conditions using evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines Prescribe and monitor medications, including psychotropic treatments, while evaluating patient response and potential side effects Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, coordinating care with physicians, nurses, mental health professionals, and correctional staff Respond to urgent medical or psychiatric situations, including crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, and emergency care needs Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records, treatment documentation, and compliance with correctional healthcare standards and Ohio regulations Educate patients on medication adherence, disease prevention, mental health management, and overall wellness while ensuring compassionate and professional care within a secure correctional environment
