We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) with hospital-based and critical-care experience to join our growing team. Our practice is dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered nephrology care across the continuum of kidney disease management, including chronic kidney disease, hypertension, acute kidney injury, dialysis care, and kidney disease prevention. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced nephrologists in a collaborative environment while managing complex patients across the full spectrum of renal care, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, dialysis, and end-stage renal disease. Position Summary Our APPs work closely with our physicians to provide comprehensive care for patients in both the acute hospital and rehab settings as well as community-based dialysis centers. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, team-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Primary Responsibilities The Advanced Practice Provider will:
  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and participate in the diagnosis and management of renal and hypertension-related conditions.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and medical decision-making skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, dialysis personnel, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory studies, diagnostic tests, and imaging as appropriate.
  • Recommend specialty consultations when indicated.
  • Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies in accordance with evidence-based practice and state regulations.
  • Document patient encounters, treatment plans, interventions, and outcomes accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital, practice, regulatory, and documentation standards.
  • Submit accurate billing and coding documentation daily. Training and ongoing support in nephrology-specific billing and coding will be provided. Education Requirements Nurse Practitioner
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner certification and licensure. Physician Assistant
  • Master's Degree from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current Physician Assistant certification and licensure. Licensure Requirements
  • Possession of a current, active, and unrestricted Ohio license to practice as a Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • National certification in the applicable specialty. Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of hospital-based clinical experience.
For Nurse Practitioners:
ICU, critical care, nephrology, or hospital medicine experience preferred.
    For Physician Assistants:
    Two years of in-patient or hospital-based experience preferred.
    • Experience with Epic EMR preferred. Schedule
    • Full-Time
    • 5 workdays per week
    • Rotating some weekend coverage with other APPs
