The Charak Center for Health and Wellness is a well-established, state certified and Joint Commission accredited behavioral health agency with locations in Elyria, Garfield Heights, Medina, Mentor, and Stow. We provide services to individuals with mental health and substance use issues. Due to continued growth, we are currently hiring licensed clinicians to provide high quality behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and adults. These are office-based positions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DESCRIPTION
Examine clients for med-somatic office visits. Write and call in prescriptions. Complete all treatment planning documentation. Consult with the physician as needed. Review laboratory results and make sure that they are communicated and conditions treated correctly. Administer injections as needed. Perform all other assigned duties for the position.
PMHNP/PA
duties may involve providing psychiatric care to outpatients at the practice locations, providing psychiatric care to patients at nursing homes and other long-term care facilities contracted by the practice. NP will also perform duties of a Sub-Investigator as part of industry-sponsored clinical trials for which the practice has a contract. PMHNP also agrees to supervise registered nurses, advanced practice registered nurse students or licensed practical nurses, when applicable and comply with Medicare regulations pertaining to "incident to" services. At all times during the term hereof following the commencement Date (as herein after defined), and as a material condition of this Agreement, Prescriber shall be duly licensed as a PMHNP or PA in the state of Ohio.

will be allotted 15 minutes for follow up patients, and 45 minutes for initial patients for private insurance.
PMHNP/PA
agrees to deliver didactic lectures and skills building training to MEDSOM staff as and when requested by the practice. Take calls after hours as needed. Promotes safety and quality care throughout department and agency.

All AGENCY positions are expected to demonstrate competency in the areas of 1) Confidentiality; 2) Cultural Sensitivity; 3) Universal Precautions and 4) Client Rights. Additional competency standards may be required for each position based on the annual plan.
Authority Description:
The
PMHNP/PA
authorized to prescribe drugs may, in collaboration with physicians, prescribe and administer drugs and therapeutic devices as specified by Ohio law and the modification of the formulary developed by the Committee on Prescriptive Governance (CPG) specific to Charak Center for Health and Wellness. The Certified NP must maintain a current Certificate to Prescribe. The
PMHNP/PA
must also keep informed of new laws and rules pertaining to prescribing rights in Ohio. For the PA, all of this is consistent with the physician assistant education and certification, and in accordance with the rules adopted by the Ohio Board of Nursing and Sections 4723.481 and 3719.06 of the Ohio Revised Code or, for PAs, the State Medical Board. Credentials (Education/Experience/Licenses): Must have a current license as a PMHNP or PA and be credentialed in accordance with ODMH and ODADAS matrix.
OSHA Category:
This position may perform tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. All employees are offered to opportunity to receive the Hepatitis B vaccination series at the Practice's expense.
Scheduled work hours:
The position is considered exempt, not eligible for overtime pay.
PMHNP/PA
will work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Normal agency business hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday with evening hours for appointments and/or meetings as needed and occasionally on Saturdays. The NP will be given appropriate advance notice when required to work evenings or Saturdays Salary negotiable.
