The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry, with experience in outpatient settings. As an advance practice provider, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, conducting assessments, and developing and implementing treatment plans for patients with various psychiatric conditions. Your expertise in psychiatry will be essential in ensuring desirable patient outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and health histories. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history. Provide acute care services to patients, including emergency interventions as necessary. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and medication adherence. Document all patient interactions accurately using appropriate coding practices. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services. Assist in ventilating patients when required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Requirements Master's degree in Nursing/Physician Assistant Studies or related field from an accredited program. Current Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant certification and state licensure. Experience working in outpatient facilities is preferred. Familiarity with ICD-10 coding practices for accurate documentation. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
