Provides direction to staff in regards to patient careGeneral Summary:
Educate and advise patients, diagnose and treat health problems, and provide general health care under the direction of the physician Works under the supervision of the attending physician(s)Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Example of Essential Duties:
Obtain comprehensive patient histories. Perform physical examinations. 2. Diagnose and treat health care and chronic diseases. 3. Order and interpret diagnostic studies such as lab work and x-rays. 4. Assess patients. Develop and implement treatment plans approved by physician. Promotes positive health behaviors and self-care skills through education and counseling. Administer medication upon order of physician. 7. Collaborate with physicians as needed. Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to): 8. Other treatments and/or procedures after consulting with or under the supervision of the physician. 9. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Required:
Active Physician Assistant License from the Ohio State Medical Board Knowledge of Physician Assistant theory, practice and medical care, medical equipment and instruments, and OSHA regulations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to analyze and determine solutions in order to best serve the patients. Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame. CPR required.Education:
