Job Description
DEFINITION
The Family Nurse Practitioner has special knowledge and skills in health maintenance, disease prevention, psychosocial physical assessment and management of health-illness needs in the primary care of the family.EDUCATION
Must be a graduate of an accredited program of nursing. Must have successfully completed additional theoretical and clinical education through an accredited graduate level family nurse practitioner program.REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
(IFAPPLICABLE
): Must maintain current Oklahoma licensure as a registered nurse (RN) and as an advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP). Must maintain current certification as a family nurse practitioner through American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
