POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Youth Services is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-PC) directs health services for the network pediatric services including School based health centers, family planning services including Title X and other programs, vaccination programs, and supports the perinatal department.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
CRNP duties See pediatric and adolescent patients up to age 21 Reach out and Read Lead Clinician at home site School Based Health Site Director Supervises NPs, HRCs and other staff located at the SBHCs in conjunction with Assoc Dir of IBH Hire, orient, and evaluate clinical staff as necessary in collaboration with Human Resources and the Dir of Primary Care. Coordinating clinical schedules. Support continuing education. Assist in meeting productivity expectations. Coordinate with partner organizations Provide clinical leadership and support for CRNPs including but not limited to: Work with Executive Clinician, Director of Primary Care, and Clinical Nurse Specialists to provides training and orientation to network NPs on State EPTSD expectations, AAP guidelines, evidence-based practice, and CDC Immunization recommendations. Develop, implement, and share clinical and administrative policies and protocols in collaboration with the SLT Promote Quality Improvement processes, power cycles, and support network improvement initiatives and quality measure goals. Title X Medical Director (backup to Director of Primary Care) Attend mandatory meetings Promote Quality Improvement processes, power cycles, and support network improvement initiatives and quality measure goals including submission of work plans. Distribute updates to staff Coordinate trainings with Dir of PC as needed PhilaVax Lead Clinician Provide updates and best practices to network Approve new vaccines Coordinate vaccine clinics at SBCHs and partner organizations including SDP and PDPH. Perinatal Program Support Participate in birth center and perinatal planning groups Assist in hiring and orientation plans for new staff Assist in facilitate new projects especially as they impact newborn care until age 2. Assist in coordination of clinical education experiences for students and volunteers. Advise SLT on the development and administration of the annual budget, fee schedules, and third-party insurance negotiations related to primary care youth services. Develop new clinical programs in conjunction with the SLT. Collaborate with the Integrated Behavioral Health Specialists, Out-Patient Mental Health Services, and Medical-assisted Therapy teams. Represent the network at community events, fundraising activities, and in the media as needed. Perform or delegate other duties as assigned where appropriate. Reports to Dir of Primary care and/or Executive Director and/or Executive Clinician.EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should possess a diverse range of skills and experience including but not limited to: Required Education and Experience Education Master's degree. Graduate from an accredited program. Must have a valid driver's license and transportation to travel between sites. Licensure & Certification Current CRNP license from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or compact state Current nationally recognized CRNP-PC certification. Experience Minimum 3 years as a Peds Primary CRNP Clinical supervisory and/or administrative experience Required Skills and Abilities Work with low-income communities. Physical and emotional ability to perform the duties as described above. Proficiency in computer skills and electronic health record. Strong leadership and management skills, and willingness to continue professional development training. Commitment to helping reduce the fear associated with birth and bring joy in the birth experience by helping all of our patients feel welcomed, safe, seen, and heard. Other Qualifications Ability to pass required background screenings and credentialing verifications.Required Immunizations:
Hep B Vaccination and TB/PPD Test.Optional Immunizations:
COVID Vaccination and Flu Vaccination. Current valid CPR Certification required. Maintain current valid applicable position credentials. Maintain reliable transportation to travel throughout the network and/or participating events outside the network as needed. Must be willing to work on-site as schedule permits. Lifting Requirements LIGHT - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The use of arm and/or leg control requires force greater than sedentary, but worker still sits majority of time.
