• Provides specialized cardiac care to adult patients and families in both inpatient and outpatient electrophysiology settings in collaboration with EP cardiology faculty and fellows.

Assess, diagnose, and manage care for adult electrophysiology patients, including performing comprehensive evaluations with detailed histories, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic studies. Develops and implements individualized treatment plans, including appropriate interventions and referrals, while ensuring accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of patient care and progress. Provides patient and family education and develops educational programs to support understanding and engagement in care. Delivers educational sessions such as workshops, lectures, and in-service trainings, and serves as a preceptor for new APP staff, as well as physician assistant and/or nurse practitioner students. Coordinates complex patient care needs, ensuring safe and effective handoffs across the care team. Collaborates in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards of care, and participates in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance clinical practice and patient outcomes. Required Qualifications

NP:

Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner specialty certification in the State of Michigan. Current specialty certification to practice as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner recognized by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN). Current DEA registration required Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required

PA:

Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Michigan. Certification by the National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Satisfactory completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), or one of its predecessor agencies, CAHEA or CAAHEP.
