Job Information Exemption Status:
Exempt A Brief Overview This position is responsible for providing care to patients with supervision/collaboration of a physician following standards and practices. The delivery of professional nursing care at Stormont Vail Health is guided by Jean Watson's Theory of Human Caring and the theory of Shared governance, both of which are congruent with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Education Qualifications Graduated from an APRN/PA program. Required Skills and Abilities The APRN/PA will work in a team environment with collaboration of a physician for assistance in clinical decision-making, case management and evaluation of performance. (Required proficiency) Ability to obtains patient history and perform assessments via interview and examination. Management of conditions as indicated based on evidence based medicine. Ability to order, conduct and interpret diagnostic studies related to specialty area and visit purpose. (Required proficiency) Ability to conducts preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and other task related to specialty area and visit purpose. (Required proficiency) Willingness to learn necessary computer skills, document delivery of health care and nursing processes within specialty area. (Required proficiency) All APRN incumbents are required to maintain Registered Nurse competencies as designated by Federal and State organizations and as outlined in SVH policy. (Required proficiency) Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse Must hold a RN license with advanced practice certification Required or Physician Assistant (PA)- KSBHA Required Additional certifications may be required for certain patient care settings or populations. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) License is required. Basic Life Support
