Job Description

Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Location:
Lincoln County & Otero County, New Mexico Work Model:
Hybrid (Onsite + Telemedicine)
Work Type:
Part-Time (Contract)
Duration:
1 Year (Extendable up to 4 Years) The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive healthcare services to students, families, and school staff within school-based health programs. This role involves both onsite clinical care and telemedicine services , ensuring accessible, high-quality healthcare delivery. Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Services
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses and minor injuries
  • Conduct physical exams and patient assessments
  • Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans
  • Provide preventive care and health education Clinical Operations & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Manage lab and pharmacy processes per guidelines Collaboration & Community Health
  • Coordinate care with mental health providers
  • Provide health education to students and families
  • Support school-based wellness programs Mobility & Outreach
  • Travel to schools for clinics and services
  • Provide telemedicine support as needed Must-Have Qualifications
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) Degree
  • Active NP License (State of New Mexico or eligible)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (preferred standard)
  • Valid Medical Malpractice Insurance
  • Experience in clinical healthcare settings
  • Ability to work in school/community health environments Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in school-based or community healthcare
  • Experience with telemedicine services
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and primary care
