This is a fully virtual position with a predictable weekday schedule, manageable patient volume, strong physician support, and a varied clinical caseload — no two days look quite the same. What You'll Do Provide virtual psychiatric consultations across a mix of settings, including: Outpatient psychiatric care Acute care hospitals Post-acute and skilled nursing facilities Clinical responsibilities include comprehensive History & Physical (H&P) psychiatric assessments, medication management, and follow-up visits. Expected patient volume is 6-12 encounters per day depending on visit type and complexity — built to support thoughtful, unrushed care rather than volume-driven throughput. Requirements Qualifications Active North Carolina APRN license with PMHNP certification (ANCC) Active DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain) Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Comfort with telehealth platforms and multiple EMRs Experience across outpatient, inpatient, or post-acute settings preferred Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently within a collaborative model
