We are seeking an experienced and motivated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide high-quality outpatient psychiatric services within a collaborative, patient-centered environment that values clinical excellence, whole-person care, and professional autonomy. About the Practice Our private practice is founded on the belief that exceptional psychiatric care combines evidence-based treatment with meaningful therapeutic relationships. We provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric services for adults and/or adolescents in a supportive, team-oriented setting that prioritizes thoughtful care over volume-driven medicine. Position Highlights Full-time position Hybrid schedule available (in-office and telepsychiatry) Competitive salary and benefits package W-2 preferred, 1099 is an option Flexible scheduling opportunities Supportive administrative infrastructure Collaborative and collegial work environment Beautiful Santa Barbara location - www.sunpsychiatrysb.com Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments Provide medication management and ongoing psychiatric care Integrate biological, psychological, social, and lifestyle factors into treatment planning Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and community resources Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Provide patient education and promote shared decision-making Deliver compassionate, ethical, and trauma-informed care Qualifications Current California RN and Nurse Practitioner licensure Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) DEA license and furnishing number Minimum of 2 years psychiatric experience Strong clinical assessment and psychopharmacology skills Experience in outpatient psychiatry Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment Commitment to evidence-based practice and high-quality patient care Ability to work well and communicate with other providers and staff members Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is clinically strong, emotionally intelligent, and passionate about delivering comprehensive psychiatric care that treats the whole person.
