Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), where your expertise will make a meaningful impact on patients' mental health and overall well-being. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based care to diverse patient populations in an outpatient setting. We are seeking a dedicated professional with a passion for behavioral health, ready to lead with compassion and clinical precision. Duties Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 coding standards. Prescribe and manage psychopharmacological treatments, including medication administration and monitoring, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and best practices. Provide psychotherapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities tailored to individual needs, including behavioral health interventions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans, discharge planning, and case management strategies. Utilize EMR systems (Tebra) for accurate medical documentation, medication reconciliation, and treatment updates. Engage in telehealth services to expand access to mental health care across diverse geographic locations. Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient outcomes in psychiatric care. Maintain compliance with Maryland, District of Columbia, and federal regulations Qualifications Current active Maryland certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). DEA license (or ability to obtain within agreed timeframe) Passionate about Mental health Proven experience in behavioral health settings, outpatient clinics, or hospital environments with exposure to trauma centers or emergency medicine. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient medical documentation. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, ICD coding (ICD-10), CPT coding for procedures, and medication management protocols. Experience working with diverse populations including children (12 and older, adolescents, and adults. Skills in patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, physical examinations related to mental health conditions, and crisis triage. Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating excellent communication skills and cultural competence.
