Duties Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for patients of all ages, including children, adolescents, and seniors. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology and behavioral interventions. Prescribe medications such as antidepressants, antianxiety and antipsychotics when appropriate, ensuring safe administration and adherence to regulatory standards. Collaborate with your supervising physician and therapists to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation of patient encounters, medication management, and treatment progress. Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to mental health services across diverse communities. Engage in ongoing clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery. Requirements Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program with specialization as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Valid state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with certification as a PMHNP. Demonstrated experience working with behavioral health populations across inpatient, outpatient, or emergency settings. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems; telehealth experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology principles including medication management for complex psychiatric conditions. Critical care experience or hospital medicine background is advantageous; experience with acute pain management or hospice & palliative medicine is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and deliver compassionate care. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
