Job Overview Compassionate Counseling Company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our growing, collaborative, and mission-driven group practice. This role involves providing comprehensive psychiatric assessments, medication management, and therapeutic interventions across diverse patient populations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise and a strong understanding of psychopharmacology. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that emphasizes patient-centered care, innovative treatment modalities, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments utilizing advanced diagnostic evaluation techniques. Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications with ongoing monitoring for effectiveness and side effects. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating medication management, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic modalities. Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with insurance, legal, and ethical standards. Utilize EHR for accurate documentation of patient care and medical records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of therapists to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards while ensuring high-quality patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings. Respond to urgent/emergent clinical situations as appropriate within the outpatient scope. Stay current with psychiatric research, best practices, and continuing education requirements. Qualifications Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing with Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification (PMHNP). Current and unrestricted state licensure as an APRN/NP with prescriptive authority. DEA registration (or eligibility). Minimum of 1-2 years of psychiatric experience preferred (outpatient practice experience highly valued). Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and evidence-based treatment approaches. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Commitment to ethical, client-centered care and collaborative practice.
