Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our dedicated mental health care team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to patients across diverse settings. Your expertise will help improve mental health outcomes, promote recovery, and support overall well-being for individuals of all ages. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through innovative care delivery and collaborative teamwork. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic assessments utilizing clinical research and medical terminology. Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications in accordance with best practices and HIPAA regulations. Provide psychotherapy and counseling tailored to patients' needs, incorporating psychopharmacology and behavioral health strategies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, discharge planning, and case management for patients in outpatient, inpatient, or assisted living settings. Utilize EMR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately and maintain comprehensive medical records. Engage in telehealth services to extend mental health support remotely while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, medication administration, and lifestyle modifications to promote recovery and resilience. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, geriatrics, or pediatric populations including children and neonates. Strong knowledge of clinical procedures such as venipuncture, IV infusion, suturing, sterile processing techniques, and airway management. Familiarity with ICD-10 coding standards for accurate documentation and billing purposes. Experience with hospital medicine environments including ICU or Level I Trauma Center settings; acute care or emergency medicine experience is highly valued. Ability to perform mental health assessments alongside physical examinations using anatomy knowledge and physiology expertise. Skilled in medication administration including psychopharmacology principles; experience with Botox or dermal fillers is a plus for esthetic laser treatments within behavioral health contexts. Competent in utilizing various EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Athenahealth for efficient patient care documentation. Pay:
$132,672.33 - $159,777.44 per year
