Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Horizon Health Shoreline, WA Job Details Contract $100 - $150 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Teamwork APRN Individual therapy Outpatient Diagnostic evaluation Clinical documentation DEA License PMHNP Full Job Description About Horizon Health Horizon Health is a licensed Behavioral Health Agency in Shoreline, WA, providing Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient (OP) services for adults. We are seeking an independent PMHNP (1099 Contractor) to conduct psychiatric evaluations, provide medication management, and offer individual counseling. This role works closely with a multidisciplinary team to support both voluntary and court-mandated clients in a growing clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities Psychiatric Care:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for adult patients.
Medication Management:
Provide ongoing pharmacological management and follow-up care in compliance with DEA and Washington State regulations.
Therapeutic Intervention:
Offer individual counseling and supportive therapy sessions integrated with psychiatric treatment.
Clinical Oversight:
Develop, implement, and oversee personalized treatment plans for patients across IOP and OP levels of care.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
Partner with SUDP counselors, case managers, and administrative staff to ensure coordinated care for dual-diagnosis and court-mandated populations.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation within the EMR system.
Program Contribution:
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute clinical expertise to program development and clinic growth.
Qualifications Licensure:
Active Washington State APRN license with
PMHNP-BC
certification (Required).
DEA:
Active DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances (Required).
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric experience performing evaluations and medication management (Preferred).
Clinical Familiarity:
Experience working within IOP/OP programs and familiarity with dual-diagnosis or court-ordered populations (Highly Preferred).
Operational Skills:
Proficiency in EMR systems and strong clinical documentation skills.
Contractor Status:
Must be a self-directed professional comfortable working in a 1099 independent contractor capacity.
