Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in a hybrid position that combines in-person and telehealth services. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based mental health care to diverse patient populations. Your expertise will help improve mental wellness, manage complex psychiatric conditions, and support patients across various settings, including outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities, and inpatient units. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments utilizing advanced clinical judgment and diagnostic tools such as ICD-10 coding for accurate diagnosis documentation. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, therapy, and other interventions like botulinum toxin treatment when appropriate. Prescribe medications responsibly while adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring proper medication administration protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, social workers, nurses, and case managers to coordinate patient care effectively. Utilize EMR systems to document patient encounters, update medical records, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to mental health services while managing urgent triage needs for acute pain management or behavioral health crises. Engage in ongoing clinical research or quality improvement initiatives to enhance treatment outcomes and stay current with advancements in psychiatric care. Requirements Valid
PMHNP-BC
certification with active licensure to practice in the relevant state or region. Proven experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong knowledge of pharmacology related to psychotropic medications and experience with psychopharmacology management Experience in various healthcare settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient units (ICU or Level I Trauma Center), nursing homes, or assisted living facilities. Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs assessment, medication administration, and basic life support procedures. Excellent communication skills for patient education, family planning discussions, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
