Wound Care Nurse Practitioner Hot Springs, AR $125,000

Duties:
```
  • Provide wound care and treatment to patients in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, and primary care clinics.
  • Assess and evaluate patients' wounds, including those with complex or chronic conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized wound care plans based on patients' needs and medical history.
  • Administer medications and perform procedures such as dressing changes, debridement, and wound irrigation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and self-care at home.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Qualifications:
```
  • Valid nursing license and certification as a Wound Care Nurse.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities, neonatal ventilator support, spinal tap procedures, pediatrics, and catheter care.
  • Strong knowledge of wound care principles, techniques, and evidence-based practices.
  • Proficient in assessing wounds for infection, necrosis, or other complications.
  • Familiarity with various wound care products and their appropriate use.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple patient cases simultaneously.
