Location:
Providence, RI Overview:
Our healthcare team is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality urgent care services in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role requires confidence in managing a variety of acute illnesses, minor injuries, and occupational health visits while serving as the primary provider with clinical support staff available.
Position Offers:
Monday-Friday schedule Competitive compensation: $63.00•70.00 per hour (DOE) Consistent weekday hours Supportive office staff Independent provider role Diverse patient population Stable outpatient work environment
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries Perform suturing, splinting, and incision and drainage procedures Conduct sick visits and urgent care assessments Complete employment-related physical examinations (non-DOT) Manage minor medical emergencies within scope of practice Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation Collaborate with clinical support staff to ensure efficient patient care
Qualifications:
Active Nurse Practitioner license in Rhode Island Minimum of 1 year of Urgent Care or Emergency Room experience Proficiency in minor office-based procedures Comfortable serving as the sole provider in the clinic while collaborating with office support staff Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
