The Cove Collective is a small, patient-centered outpatient mental health practice dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care. We prioritize collaboration, personalized treatment, and a supportive work environment for both clients and staff.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or Family Nurse Practitioner (with mental health experience) to provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for adolescents and/or adults. This role is ideal for a provider who values autonomy, meaningful connections with clients, and being part of a small but dedicated team as a 1099 Contractor.
Days needed:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Hours are flexible, 11 AM- 6 PM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Thursdays 9 AM-5 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and other members of the care team Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR within 72 hours. Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and medication use Participate in team meetings and case consultations as needed
Qualifications:
Licensed Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of South Carolina. Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program DEA license and prescriptive authority Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting preferred (new grads with strong training and supervision support may be considered) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable working independently in a small team environment
Preferred Qualities:
Experience in outpatient settings. Familiarity with EHR systems. Interest in holistic, trauma-informed, or integrative approaches to mental health Commitment to culturally responsive care
