Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Physicians Urgent Care. This role is pivotal in providing top-tier medical care to our community in urgent care settings. The ideal candidate will have robust clinical skills, a patient-focused approach, and the capacity to handle a variety of medical situations with a high degree of professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations. Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and EKGs; follow up on results in a timely manner. Prescribe medications and treatments effectively. Perform minor surgical procedures, modify treatment plans as necessary, and facilitate specialist referrals. Represent the clinic professionally within the medical community and to other institutions as needed. Collaborate with the Medical Director to update clinical protocols and practice guidelines. Provide exceptional customer service, organize and prioritize workload efficiently, and meet critical deadlines. Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms. Engage with individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds. Adhere to standard clinical practice guidelines, including immunization and preventative health schedules. Undertake additional responsibilities including but not limited to staff education, quality assurance reviews, and other relevant duties.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree from an accredited Nursing or Physician Assistant program. Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Active DEA registration. At least 2 years of experience in urgent care, family practice, or emergency department settings. Current BLS certification.
