DEA License Full Job Description Role Description:
The Family Nurse Practitioner serves as a primary care provider responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients of all ages. The FNP performs physical exams, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, develops treatment plans, and prescribes medications in accordance with state regulations. They emphasize preventive care, health education, and chronic disease management to improve overall patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive and focused patient assessments Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, asthma) Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging) Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate Provide preventive care, including annual physicals, immunizations, and screenings Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, HIPAA, and regulatory standards
Skills and Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (Family Practice) Current NP license and board certification (FNP-BC or FNP-C) DEA license and prescriptive authority (as required) Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills Ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations Experience in primary care preferred
Work Environment:
Primary care offices, community health clinics, or outpatient settings, often involving a mix of scheduled appointments and same-day visits.
Pay:
$102,506.37 - $125,824.88 per year
