POSITION
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
DEPARTMENT
RMC Physician Group HOURS:
Full-Time (Exempt): Monday - Friday Call is required
JOB SUMMARY
Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant is responsible for the personal primary care of his/her patients. This responsibility includes the provision of and attention to the care of major and minor illnesses to long range health issues and diseases within the scope of individual knowledge. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant also serves in a care coordination role for the practice in which he/she will coordinate team-based care for individuals through effective partnership with patients, their caregivers/families, community resources and their physicians.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Graduate of an accredited Master's Degree Nursing, Physician Assistant Studies, Health Science or Medical Science program. 2. Current Tennessee license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant. 3. Active DEA Registration and BLS certification required. 4. Nurse Practitioners must possess an active American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Certification or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Certification. 5. Physician Assistants certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) preferred. 6. Must have a National Provider Identification (NPI) number. 7. One year of work experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant preferred.
