Job Description

Per diem Physician Assistant position in Beaumont, TX supporting a hospital-based orthopedic and trauma service. Work with fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeons and APPs to deliver 24/7 care across the Emergency Department, Operating Room, and inpatient units. Prior orthopedics and/or trauma experience required; must be comfortable in high-acuity settings. Compensation $4,500 per shift Malpractice coverage available Practice setting Hospital-based orthopedic/trauma team Collaborative environment with surgeons and APPs Coverage across ER, OR, and inpatient floors Key responsibilities Provide orthopedic and trauma consults and ongoing patient management Assist with surgical cases and intraoperative support Manage post-operative care, rounding, and discharges Perform splinting, casting, wound care, and other procedures Coordinate multidisciplinary care and communicate with attending physicians and nursing staff Complete accurate, timely documentation Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current Texas PA license or ability to obtain National PA certification (NCCPA) Minimum 1-2 years' experience in orthopedics, trauma surgery, or acute care Strong procedural skills and ability to function in a high-acuity clinical environment Professional development Shift-based scheduling with opportunities for ongoing training and development
