Job Description
Overview Great outcomes start with great people and Armor has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to join our team. Responsibilities Under indirect supervision, provide independent primary care in a correctional healthcare setting to a specified population of non-emergency patients
Perform medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up consultation, and health education
Obtain patient histories and develop patient care treatment plans, ensuring completeness and accuracy using the POMR format
Supervise and/or coordinate the activities of patient care and/or support staff
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
Prescribe medications and other treatments
Participate in planning programs and in developing specific health polices and procedures Qualifications Current license as a Nurse Practitioner
Current CPR certification, ACLS certification preferred
Two (2) years of experience as a NP
Proficient with electronic medical records
