Required Qualifications:

Advanced Nursing Degree or Master's Degree required. Current Texas State Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) license or PA license. Certification in Basic Life Support (CPR), American Heart Association. Experience in the specialty area 2-3 years preferred. Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and market services effectively. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong team-oriented approach and interdepartmental collaboration based on CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients by rounding on patients and identify potential issues physician will need to address. Communicated with primary team (ICU or Hospitalist) to coordinate plan of care. Ensure appropriate orders are entered after discussing plan of care with physician. Communicate with clinic staff to make sure patients have required follow-up scheduled. Assist with IR and OR procedures. Start progress notes. Understand vascular neurosurgery protocols
