As the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Denton County, we are currently in need of a Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider (PNP or PA-C) who is seeking to provide exceptional patient care to a diverse population of patients and medical needs. We are currently in need of a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician Assistant that is seeking to maximize their clinical experience by providing exceptional patient care across a broad range of integrated healthcare solutions for pediatric patients. We "close the gap" by leveraging our vast resources to enable continuity of care, with a focus providing excellent primary medical care for children. Our healthcare providers operate at the very highest level of their expertise as they provide comprehensive, team-based care in a fast-paced environment within a non-profit, community healthcare setting. Our providers love HSNT because we treat patients from all walks of life-regardless of socio-economic status-for a wide range of acute and chronic physical, mental, and social health conditions and in collaboration with a team of medical professionals. HSNT is seeking providers that are passionate about providing care, education, and resources in a community health setting to patients and families that have very limited options for their medical needs; and those providers that are ready to embrace the challenge of maximizing their already existing knowledge base. A day in the life of our Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider (PNP or PA-C) may look like this: Provide professional medical services as the ARNP or PA-C specializing in pediatrics. Reviews initial intake, health history, and laboratory test results, performs physical examinations and designs treatment plans catered to patient's health status to provide primary care, preventative health care, and health maintenance to pediatric population. Provides additional assessments and evaluation of medication therapies and treatment regimen during routine follow up clinic visits, ensuring patients continue to receive effective, efficient health care. Educates patients on medication regimens and drug adherences Participates in quality management studies Adheres to all Agency and Medical Center policies and procedures. Assumes other duties as assigned by the
Medical Director Requirements:
We ask our provider candidates to possess: Master's level in related discipline. Licensed Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician Assistant in the State of Texas. 3-years+ of post-graduate clinical experience in a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant highly preferred. Strong communication skills and professional, compassionate approach in practicing medicine. Ability to relate to individuals from a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds, including various sexual orientations. Bilingual (medical Spanish proficiency) highly recommended. Basic EHR proficiency (we use eClinical Works).
