Nurse Practitioner The Locums Company Laredo, TX Job Details Locum tenens | Contract $70 an hour 2 days ago Qualifications Direct patient care Physical examinations Mid-level DEA License Advanced practice provider Medical License Prescribing medications Acute care Full Job Description Company Description A student wellness center located on the campus of a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps adolescents and young adults improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. The hours at the clinic fall between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. List of services provided at the clinic: the clinic provides primary and acute care for hypertension, diabetes, ADHD, GERD, UTIs, URIs, STDs, sprains, allergies, wellness exams, sick visits, and school physicals. The center physician will collaborate with Mid-Levels. Role Description This is an independent contractor role for a Locums Nurse Practitioner with The Locums Company, LLC. The Locums Nurse Practitioner will work on-site and provide physical exams and minor acute medical care to student patients ages 16 to 24. We offer excellent compensation, and professional liability insurance. Qualifications Active and unrestricted state medical license. Experience in providing medical care to adolescent patients, including performing medical procedures and prescribing medications Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work on a contract basis with flexible schedules Prior experience as a locums Nurse Practitioner is a plus Valid Federal DEA license #
