In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care across a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and specialized care environments. Your expertise will help deliver comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care to improve patient outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse populations, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, utilizing your broad skill set to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Administer medications and injections, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments, following established protocols. Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal filler injections with precision and safety. Manage acute pain cases, triage urgent issues, and coordinate referrals for specialized care such as gastroenterology or infectious disease services. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records. Engage in telehealth consultations to extend care access and support patients remotely across various settings including hospice & palliative medicine or senior care. Qualifications Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice in the relevant state. Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as emergency rooms, ICU, hospital medicine, or outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical documentation standards. Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth is highly preferred. Skilled in performing clinical procedures including phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile processing techniques, and airway management. Background in critical care areas such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers is advantageous. Familiarity with specialties such as geriatrics, pediatrics (including toddler and neonatal care), behavioral health, or occupational health is a plus. Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to handle complex cases involving acute pain management or infectious disease care.
