ACUTE CARE NURSE PRACTITIONER HOSPITALIST

Plano, TEXAS Texas Health Physicians Group is pleased to announce a Nurse Practitioner, Hospitalist opening for a full-time opportunity in Plano, TX. Work schedule is 4PM to 4AM, 7 days on, 7 days off. Expand your career by working closely with a successful group of hospitalists evaluating, diagnosing and treating a variety of patients.
POSITION DETAILS
Ø Assist Hospitalists with inpatient evaluations, H&P's & follow-up visits. Ø Initiate appropriate treatment & testing for medical illnesses. Ø Complete history and physical examinations on all new admissions Ø Round on rehabilitation patients including long term acute care patients Ø Document using EMR system. Ø Participate in continuous quality improvement processes.
IF YOU:
Ø Active listening, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgement and decision making Ø Texas licensed Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Ø ACLS certification Ø 2 years of NP or RN experience in
ICU/CVICU
required. The Nurse Practitioner ("NP") Must be a graduate of an accredited Advanced Nursing Program and have a current RN license for the State of Texas. Certified Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas. The NP will report to the supervising physician and/or the Medical Director and will be responsible for meeting CME requirements to maintain certification and licensure. The NP's duties and responsibilities to the THPG patient population and assigned setting only
