Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Outpatient Cardiology team in Texarkana, TX . This role focuses on providing comprehensive cardiovascular care in a clinic-based setting, working collaboratively with cardiologists and the broader care team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiology or a related specialty and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Provide outpatient evaluation and management of patients with cardiovascular conditions Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up visits Manage chronic cardiac conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease Order and interpret diagnostic testing including labs, EKGs, and cardiac imaging Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications for heart health Collaborate closely with cardiologists and clinic staff to ensure coordinated patient care Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR Qualifications Current Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) Previous cardiology, internal medicine, or acute care experience preferred Strong clinical assessment and communication skills Ability to work independently in an outpatient clinic setting Schedule & Compensation Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Outpatient only - no nights, weekends, or call Competitive compensation based on experience Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, malpractice coverage, PTO, CME allowance, and a 403(b) retirement plan with employer match
