Three 12-hour shifts per week (~130 hours/month)
Clinic Hours:
Mon-Fri:
8:00 AM•8:00
PM Sat-Sun:
9:00 AM•4:00
PM Compensation:
$60•80/hour (based on experience) + bonus

Full benefits package available Position Summary We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Waco (Hillcrest). This role is ideal for clinicians who value autonomy, variety, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment. At NextCare Urgent Care, clinicians enjoy true work-life balance—no after-hours tasks, flexible scheduling, and monthly schedules released in advance. Full-time providers are often off more days than they work. You'll be supported by experienced clinical teams, strong peer relationships, clear practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership. The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low-acuity presentations. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits Order and interpret labs and imaging Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions clearly Document care accurately in the EHR Code and bill services appropriately Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted Texas license (NP or PA) Board certification (AANP/ANCC for
NP, NCCPA
