Job Description
Family Nurse Practitioner Chesapeake, VA Full-time Full-time Family Nurse Practitioner for busy Primary Care practice. Must have an active Virginia License, DEA License and experience with electronic health records (preferably Veradigm/Allscripts Professional). Must be able to communicate effectively with physician, staff and patients. Duties include, but not limited to: Perform examinations to manage acute and chronic conditions, evaluate, diagnosis and treat adult patients. Review patient reports and make appropriate recommendations, order test/procedures and prescribe/refill medications in collaboration with our primary care physician. Hours are Mon. - Fri, weekend on call phone coverage with shared rotation between all providers (approximately nine weekends per year). Paid leave, Health, Dental and 401K benefit package offered along with CME allowance. Cost of state license, DEA and Malpractice Ins covered.
