This role focuses on delivering primary care services to a medically complex and underserved population. The ideal candidate will have experience in correctional healthcare or a strong background in primary care or emergency medicine. Experience in Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is highly preferred, as this role will involve supporting patients undergoing treatment for substance use disorders. This is a full‑time weekday assignment offering consistent scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in patient care within a structured clinical environment.
Qualifications:
Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license Minimum 1 year of recent NP experience Correctional healthcare experience preferred Primary care or ER background acceptable if no correctional experience Experience with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred Strong clinical decision‑making and patient‑care skills
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive primary care services to correctional patients Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions Manage patients enrolled in Medication Assisted Treatment programs Collaborate with medical staff and correctional healthcare teams Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner Ensure compliance with medical protocols and facility guidelines Promote patient safety and continuity of care
