Job Description Maintains current State licensure Maintains continuing education requirements for continued medical practice in the State; Provide medication management Complete psychiatric assessment Evaluates and treats clients as needed for medical issues including patient education. Provide regularly scheduled psychiatric patient care. Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with Mental Illness Requirements Current, Virginia Board of Nursing and the Virginia Board of Medicine and Nursing to practice Independently as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority. Current DEA prescriptive authority . Experience working with other professionals to ensure best practice. Skilled in the use of technology, software, and resources to assist and aid in the course of daily medical responsibilities. Experience in documenting in the medical record and articulating and interacting with patients and others regarding clinical / administrative concerns Graduate of an accredited graduate nurse practitioner program and certified as a psychiatric
