Job Description

Family Nurse Practitioner Fredericksburg, VA 22405 Part-time, Full-time Part-time, Full-time Stafford Primary Care is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic full-time and part-time Nurse Practitioner to join our team.
Duties will include:
Management of common acute and chronic illness, including minor trauma, episodic problems, common chronic disorders, as well as counseling and education with regard to such problems, performance of minor surgical procedures suturing; managing wounds and infections and initiation of life-saving procedures in emergencies. Performing health assessments with health history and physical examination. Completes Electronic Medical Records according to practice standards within an appropriate time frame. Occupational health exams to include pre- and post-employment and annual physicals Performs and provides treatments for minor acute illness, patient examinations, making initial assessment, initiating treatment and referring to appropriate center of care when applicable. Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies; interpreting test results. Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions and refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care options as appropriate. Demonstrates good organizational skills in coordinating services with co-workers and other departments/services. Responds to stressful situations in a calm and rational manner and cooperates with all to facilitate integration of service. Performs other duties as assigned
Licensure:
Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine
Certification:
Board certified in family practice, MRO certificate is a plus. Current DEA number, NPI number, CAQH and basic life support card.
