Job Summary Journey To Prosperity Mental Health is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner to join our 2.5 ASAMA PHP team. In this vital role, you will provide expert psychiatric assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver comprehensive care to diverse patient populations. You will collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and effective treatment delivery. Hours expected, and the minimum in-person session, would be 5 hours a week, with 4 hours in person and 1 hour via telehealth. Please let us know if you're still interested. It'll be a 1099 contract. Thanks Duties Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status exams, withdrawal, and risk assessments Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with state regulations and clinical guidelines Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating therapy, medication management, and lifestyle interventions Monitor patient progress through regular follow-up appointments and adjust treatments as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with complex mental health needs Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks Requirements Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification in Psychiatry or Mental Health Nursing Proven experience in behavioral health settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or emergency rooms Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for efficient documentation Knowledge of psychopharmacology, CPT coding, ICD-10 coding standards, and medication administration protocols Experience working with diverse populations, including children and adolescents.
