Multi-Specialty Infusion Advanced Practice Provider US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities United States, Virginia, Suffolk May 11, 2026
Overview Virginia Oncology Associates, the largest group of medical professionals in Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina, is devoted exclusively to cancer care and blood disorders and is seeking a top Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant candidate to oversee the operation of a Multispecialty Infusion Clinic (MSI) for weekend infusions of monoclonal antibodies. This position is 20-hours a week, weekends only! Successful candidates would onboard patient referrals to the clinic via telehealth visits and provide incident-to coverage for Saturday and Sunday infusion appointments. Candidates must be able to directly manage infusion emergencies in the office. Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for clinic patients in an outpatient setting
Initiate and document appropriate interventions
Evaluate and record patient and family response within practice protocol
Prescribes drug therapies per protocol/physician consultation
Assess patient and family needs and provides education
Promotes/provides staff education
Serve as a liaison between inpatient, skilled nursing, and home setting
Incorporates evidence-based research into clinical practice
Independently work and manage any infusion reactions and anaphylaxis. Qualifications Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program for nursing education and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program or successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Two years of post Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant hematology/oncology experience is required
Experience and knowledge in the management of the physiological and psychological effects of cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment
RN State License and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state, along with current state certification of Nurse Practitioner or current state license as a Physician Assistant
Current CPR certification required
Must be willing to travel to the various practice locations
