Facility:
This memorial hospital is part of a respected regional healthcare system that provides comprehensive medical services to the southern Vermont community. The facility features a collaborative, multidisciplinary medical group environment with specialties including family practice, pediatrics, OB/GYN, cardiology, orthopedics, post-acute care, urology, and general surgery.
Opportunity:
Nurse Practitioner -
Primary Care Job Details:
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services in a collaborative medical group environment
  • Independently perform medical acts in accordance with APRN licensure standards
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing and medical care to individuals, families, and groups
  • Focus on health promotion, disease prevention, and overall wellness
  • Collaborate with patients, families, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide leadership and consultation within the care team
  • Identify and address specialized teaching and learning needs of patients and families
  • Provide education to support informed healthcare decision-making
  • Maintain a safe and efficient clinical environment for patients and staff
  • Support daily practice operations in a cost-effective manner
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education
  • Work within a medical group including family practice, pediatrics, OB/GYN, cardiology, orthopedics, and other specialties
  • Collaborate with physicians, licensed providers, LPNs/medical assistants, and clerical staff
  • Must have Master's Degree from accredited Adult Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current Vermont APRN License required (or ability to obtain)
  • Certification as Adult, Family, or Pediatric NP highly preferred
  • Healthcare Provider CPR Certification and DEA License required
  • Two years of nursing experience prior to advanced degree highly preferred
  • 1:11 call rotation required
  • Full-time position (1.0 FTE, 40 hours/week)
  • Not open to candidates commuting more than 1 hour
  • Minimum 1 year experience required
