Job Description
Behavioral Health Advanced Practice Provider opportunity: bring energy, compassion, and expertise to a fast-growing mental health service where purpose meets possibility and your impact is felt on day one 🌄.
As a Behavioral Health Advanced Practice Provider, join a mission-driven, patient-first culture known for strong clinical outcomes, high-acuity behavioral medicine exposure, and innovation-forward leadership that advances care through telepsychiatry, AI-assisted decision support, and streamlined EHR tools; this healthcare organization empowers a Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner or Behavioral Health Physician Assistant with robust onboarding, mentorship, tuition assistance, conference funding, and clear advancement pathways within an award-winning, trust-rich environment aligned with national best practices.
Within the psychiatric services program, the Behavioral Health Advanced Practice Provider will collaborate across inpatient psychiatry, consult-liaison coverage, and ambulatory mental health clinics to deliver evidence-based care; the psychiatry and behavioral medicine team is part of a prominent community healthcare provider recognized for high-quality care, particularly within orthopedics, cancer care, and maternity services, elevated by a culture of nursing excellence through its Magnet Designation for nursing excellence, consistently strong experience scores highlighted by a 5-star rating for patient experience, and distinguished performance as a 2025 High Performing Hospital for Maternity Care, creating an environment where a Psychiatric Services Advanced Practice Provider can thrive.
The Behavioral Health Advanced Practice Provider reports to the Medical Director of Psychiatry and the Director of Behavioral Health, receiving daily support from attending psychiatrists, psychology, social work, case management, pharmacy, and friendly nurses within a diverse healthcare professional team; responsibilities for a Behavioral Health Physician Assistant or Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner include comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, crisis stabilization, ED and medical-floor consults, group and individual interventions, integrated care for co-occurring substance use, discharge planning, telehealth coverage, quality improvement, and participation in shared governance—backed by dedicated onboarding time, preceptorship, CME support, de-escalation training, 24/7 security and rapid response, and protected administrative hours.
Based on the western border of central Vermont, the Behavioral Health Advanced Practice Provider will enjoy a lifestyle that blends outdoor adventure with small-city convenience—four-season recreation in the Green Mountains (skiing, hiking, biking, paddling, and leaf-peeping), vibrant arts and music venues with year-round concerts and festivals, farm-to-table cuisine and craft producers, short commutes with walkable and bikeable neighborhoods, a range of housing options from historic homes to modern builds, strong public and independent schools, nearby higher education hubs, clean air and water, and a welcoming, inclusive community; the region offers a stable job market, reasonable cost of living for New England, low crime, excellent parks and green space, robust healthcare access, fitness and wellness options, everyday shopping amenities, senior services, high-speed broadband, accessible roadways, proximity to major airports, and easy getaways across the Northeast—delivering privacy, natural beauty, and a connected social fabric ideal for a Psychiatric Services Advanced Practice Provider or Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner.
The Behavioral Health Advanced Practice Provider can expect competitive compensation with performance incentives, potential sign-on and relocation assistance, retirement plans with employer contributions, comprehensive health/vision/dental coverage, HSA/FSA options, generous paid time off, paid CME and certification support, licensure and DEA reimbursement, malpractice coverage with tail, parental leave, wellness resources, and flexible scheduling; launch the next chapter—connect with a Clinical Management Consultants recruiter today to explore the Behavioral Health Physician Assistant or Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner pathway and make a lasting impact 🚀.
