Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. No weeknight call; one weekend per month on-call coverage.
Location:
Rutland, Vermont We are seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the Foley Cancer Center within a respected community hospital. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive oncology care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment across outpatient clinic, inpatient, emergency department, and telehealth settings. Job Responsibilities Provide comprehensive oncology patient care under collaborative physician partnership Obtain detailed medical histories and perform focused physical examinations Assess, diagnose, and manage oncology-related conditions and treatment side effects Interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory findings Develop and implement treatment and symptom management plans Provide patient and family-centered education and counseling Coordinate care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings Maintain accurate, timely documentation and clinical communication Participate in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications For Nurse Practitioners:
Master's degree in Nursing Registered with the Vermont State Board of Nursing National certification through ANCC or equivalent
For Physician Assistants:
Graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program Registered with the Vermont State Board of Medical Practice NCCPA certification
For All Candidates:
Minimum 2 years of NP or PA experience in oncology or related specialty preferred Vermont licensure (or ability to obtain) Unit-specific certifications as required (ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC as applicable) Completion of patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint certification per department guidelines Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems Benefits Competitive salary Signing bonus Relocation assistance Educational loan assistance Malpractice coverage provided Annual CME funding 403(b) retirement plan with employer match Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance Combined Time Off (CTO) College Savings Account option
