Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our cardiovascular team in a dynamic, community-focused healthcare environment. The provider will collaborate closely with cardiologists, nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with a range of cardiac conditions — both in outpatient and hospital-based settings.
Locations:
Killington / Rutland, Vermont (Rutland County)
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
$115,000 - $130,000+ plus

Compensation is productivity-based and well above median MGMA benchmarks Health, Vision, and Dental insurance Paid malpractice insurance CME time + annual CME expense allowance Signing bonus Relocation assistance Educational loan repayment support Key Responsibilities Conduct cardiovascular assessments and interpret diagnostic tests Manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions Prescribe and adjust cardiac medications per evidence-based guidelines Coordinate care with cardiologists, PCPs, and ancillary services Educate patients and families on cardiac health and preventive care Complete accurate, timely documentation in the EHR Participate in quality improvement and clinical best-practice initiatives Provide outpatient and occasional inpatient coverage as needed
Requirements:
NP:
Master's (or Doctoral) degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program
PA:
Graduate of an ARC-PA-accredited Physician Assistant program Active Vermont NP license (APRN) or PA license
NP:
Board certification (e.g., ANCC, AANP)
PA:
NCCPA certification Minimum of 2 years of experience as an NP or PA. Experience in cardiology, internal medicine, or a related field strongly preferred (per similar roles at UVM) BLS and ACLS required DEA registration (if applicable for prescribing) #AAS
