Experience preferred Contact Sheree Keen for more information @sheree.keen@multicare.org #LI-SF1 Position Summary A Neonatal Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse (ARNP) who specializes in the care of newborns, typically up to one month of age. They are specialists in the evaluation, management, and resuscitation of newborns, including those with complicated medical issues. Responsibilities- Provide routine and emergent care to newborns
- Conduct routine newborn exams
- Perform resuscitations on newborns with both expected and unexpected complications
- Monitor the health of the baby after childbirth
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed.
- Collaborate with OB-GYNs, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate parents on newborn care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Advocate for holistic, patient-centered care and support newborn health
- Document all patient interactions accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) inclusive of direct patient encounters and asynchronous care. Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (ARNP) license in Washington State.
- Successful completion of an accredited neonatal nurse practitioner program
- Current active Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Core Board Certification
- Clinical experience in neonatal evaluation and management.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Current credentials and privileges as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Capital Medical Center
