Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Location:
Port Angeles, WA Job Description:
Seeking a Psychiatric ARNP to provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and consultation for adults involved in the criminal court system, including those undergoing competency evaluations, restoration, or diversion services. This role is part of the state-funded Trueblood initiative to connect individuals in city and county jails with behavioral health care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations, formulate diagnoses, and create treatment plans. Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications; order and review labs as needed. Collaborate with care teams, community agencies, and external providers to ensure continuity of care. Provide psychiatric consultation to contracted agencies and internal teams. Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
Requirements:
Advanced Nursing Degree from an accredited program. Current WA State
RN & ARNP
licenses with prescriptive authority; DEA certification. Credentialing eligibility with Olympic Medical Center and insurance panels. At least 2-year psychiatric treatment experience, including child/adolescent prescribing. Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and provide vaccination records (MMR, Hep B, Tdap and current flu shot)
